Week 11: Shoot Days & Self-Doubt

This week was intense. I was slightly unwell, but most of my time went into prepping and executing a 12-hour shoot for the wellness brand. The shoot still isn’t fully done—we have a second location planned for next week—but most of the heavy lifting is behind us.

The highlight? I actually did proper photography this time. One shot in particular took a while to get right, and both the photographer and I checked in with each other to ensure we weren’t overdoing it. We weren’t. It just takes time to build something new and do it well.

This experience taught me that shoots are part planning, part improvisation. And even if it feels like it’s dragging in the moment, the knowledge gained adds up. I’m now excited to see the post-production outcome, especially of the shot I took.
